100 Word Story – Watch the Window (Part One)

This place is just a prison for children, where they’re forced to conform to society’s rules.

Henry glanced at the front of the room; the visiting math professor was still writing some more math problems on the blackboard. He continued his lecture about how to find solutions to equations with multiple variables.

Henry let out a mental sigh, wishing that class came to an abrupt end so he could enjoy the hot summer day outside. He looked around at his fellow classmates, many of them struggling to stay awake. One student, a brown-haired girl, locked eyes with him.

The hell?

100 Word Story – Grades (Finale)

Mary went into the trunk of car to grab more rope while I finished binding up the man’s wrists. He tried to struggle his way off of the ground, so I slammed his head down, knocking him out.

Mary came back and handed me the extra rope, noticing the man, “Wow. I didn’t think you’d be able to do that. He was pretty big.”

I shrugged, “I didn’t think so either.” Getting to my feet, I turned around and asked her what was on my mind, “So, did I pass?”

She answered, sly smile on her face, “With flying colors.”

100 Word Story – Grades (Part Four)

“Back up, I’m warning you.” The man urged me to stay away. The way he looked at me as I approached the two of them was nothing but anger from me simply ignoring his demands. I’ve only just met him, and I can already tell that he’s no good at controlling his emotions.

I sighed with disappointment, “Mary, you chose a horrible person to try and test me. This man can’t even keep his anger under control.”

Mary’s face was puzzled, her eyes darting back and forth between the man and I. At last, she admitted, “Fine. You caught me.”

100 Word Story – Grades (Part Three)

She didn’t see me the entire time; I managed to hide behind one of the columns in the parking lot. I got so close, so close to confronting her about this enticing act she’s been putting on, but I had to stop from revealing myself.

“Thanks for picking me up today, baby.”

“Anytime.”

Mary was huddled in the arms of a man, kissing up on his chin with her arms wrapped around him. Surely this was a test of my mettle, of my unwavering fortitude. I couldn’t help but to chuckle.

Mary looked around the lot, “Did you hear something?”

100 Word Story – Grades (Part Two)

Simmonds seemed to pick up the pace as she headed for the parking lot; it looked like she was in a rush to leave the campus grounds.

I could relate to that, though. The college was always crowed with people going back and forth between rooms across the various floors, large gatherings happening outside in the lawn and grass areas—the campus was just full of people. Perhaps Simmonds didn’t like being around people.

My heart began to flutter at the thought of Simmonds getting nervous around other people, “Don’t worry, my sweet, sweet Mary. I’ll protect you from everybody.”

100 Word Story – Grades (Part One)

“For the rest of the semester you shall be focusing on creating your history thesis paper on which historical figure had the smallest impact on globalization. You have three months to research, draft, and edit before you submit your final paper, which you can turn in any time.”

Professor Simmonds announced the conclusion of class for the day and collected her things. The rest of us—the students—followed behind and gathered our things and began to leave.

As for me, I sat down a bit longer, carefully watching her from behind.

I need you to be mine, all mine.

100 Word Story – One-Sided Desire (Finale)

I collected a small pile of clothing and undergarments in my suitcase, and headed for the front door. With a heavy heart, I sighed, “It’s for the best.”

As I turned around to walk down the hallway, I saw Stella running down the steps, trying to chase me down. She was in a small state of panic, almost hysterical, “Amelie, wait. Please, don’t leave.”

My heart was still tied down to a false romance, but I had to force myself to break away. “Silence. You’ve had your time trying to keep me, and you sullied it.”

“S’il vous plaît…”

“Non…”

100 Word Story – One-Sided Desire (Part Four)

Stella barely made contact with me throughout the night, only saying words when we were at the dinner table.

“This lacks salt, pass the shaker.” “The steak is extra dry, no moisture whatsoever.”

I offered to make her another but she simply grunted and walked away from the table; that would be the last time we were in the same room. When it came time to sleep, I knocked on our bedroom door, asking if it was okay for me to enter.

“Sleep on the couch tonight,” she answered.

I wanted to believe that she cared, even just a bit.

100 Word Story – One-Sided Desire (Part Three)

Like a loyal pup to an owner, I ran to the front door at the first sound of keys jingling. My spine shivered with electric pulses, making me tremble even down at the knee. My eyes didn’t dare look away from the front door; I wanted to see my love walk through at the exact moment.

As the doorknob turned and the door slid open, I greeted Stella with a warm, passionate smile, “Welcome home, dear.”

A pair of irritated, hazel eyes met mine for a brief moment. Stella walked past me without even acknowledging me.

“She… must be tired.”

100 Word Story – One-Sided Desire (Part Two)

The warmth from the fireplace may have warmed up my body, but I still felt frozen on the inside, even through the thick blanket wrapped around me from the bedroom. The fire was roaring and cracking in the brick fire pit. The engulfed logs and timber seemed to dance away as it burned up and turned into rising black fumes.

Even with such a beautiful show of nature in front of me my mind didn’t wander away from Stella—I yearned for her dearly.

My own mind began to tempt me, the fire cackling out and saying her name, “Stella.”

100 Word Story – One-Sided Desire (Part One)

I couldn’t help myself from staring out of the front lawn window, awaiting for her to return. Even though the blinding sun was overhead, I just couldn’t look away from the thin glass in front. Every second she’s away from me I could feel my body burning up inside, longing to have her by my side.

My hand pressed against the window, feeling the cold sting of the wintertime weather on my palm, “I hope you don’t freeze out there. I would freeze up should you not come home.”

My eyes glanced up and down the sidewalk, waiting for her.

April Note – 4/30/2019

April Note – 4/30/2019

Luka stared at the blank monitor, annoyed at the lack of inspiration coming to mind. In an attempt to try and speed up the process, Luka decided to quickly chug down a favorite beer—one of the Belgian variety—and waited for its affects to hit. After ten minutes of waiting, Luka gave up and sigh.

“Fuck this, let me just jot something down for later.”

Hiya, everybody! I’m sorry for tricking you into thinking that this would be a story of some kind. I mean, it still kinda counts as one, but let us not get into technicalities; I hate them. How have you guys been doing? Did you finish any kind of goals you guys set for yourselves? Did you do something unexpected, and now you like it? Took any risks to have fun? Regardless of the result, I hope you all are nice and healthy, and that things are going your way.

I wish I could say the same for me. But you guys don’t have to worry; the website and stories are just fine. As some of you guys may have noticed, I didn’t do a “Monthly Note” for March. Reason being is, last month, I’ve decided to take that plunge into the writing and publishing industry and have been applying for internship in that field. Now, noting the fact that I don’t have a degree or real relevant experience in the field, I’ve been either getting no response from internships or getting rejection letters. Of course it’s discouraging and hurts, but I haven’t let it stop me from sending my resume to jobs in the hopes that I can get a foot in the door. If things all turn in my favor, I can potentially leave my normal day job and move on to a job in this career. Wish me luck!

Now, enough about myself. I know you guys don’t come here to read about my daily, boring life (but if you do, let me know, and I’ll bore you to death.) It’s time to switch topics to the website and story stuff

Recently, throughout April, I’ve been experimenting with story posts. What I’ve been doing is taking the idea behind 100 Word Story and expanding on it. So what my current plan is, Monday through Friday, I will post a 100 Word Story every day, all of them connecting to a single story. To give it some variety, each month with be focused on a different genre or theme. What I eventually want to do is have you guys vote on what the genre or theme of the month will be, so that’s a work in progress. On top of that, I’ll still be posting stories like usual. I’ve been trying to organize myself on what stories I want to finish immediately, which ones can wait and which ones will be on-going. Right now, my key stories are “Home Improvement” and “Don’t You Remember?” I want to apologize if updates to these stories aren’t coming out so quickly, as that’s a thing I’m trying to work on.

On the plus side, I will be more open to posting random tidbits and spontaneous stories I’ve written throughout the month. I know most of my stories are no longer than three pages, and I’m not sure if you guys like it or not. I’m trying to figure out a way where you guys can openly share with me what you like and dislike, but for now, don’t be afraid to send me emails. I’d love to hear feedback on what you guys are thinking.

I’ve also been working on a little personal story project for myself. I haven’t shared anything about it online (kind of) and I don’t really plan on to for the time being. I will give a small idea on what it is: She’s the fastest gunner of the west.

Anyways, I hope I’ve answered any questions y’all have for me. As always, don’t be afraid to contact me or hit me up on Twitter if you have questions or concerns. I’m always available to talk to you lovely people.

I hope you guys have a good one!
P.S: Alex and Sam are trying to figure out what year is it.
