May Note – 5/31/2019

I’m actually getting use to the idea of opening up with a little cameo story whenever I have to write up one of these things. I should start popping up in all of my stuff… Nah. That’ll get boring really quickly.

Anyways, how’s all y’all doin’? You enjoying the warm weather out wherever you live on this giant ball of land? Are you starting to wander about during the day, or night if you’re into the moon shining overhead? Have you been sticking to any goals that you made earlier in the year? Did you finally get rid of that thing that was cluttering your closet?

I dunno what y’all got in the closet; I’m just muttering at this point.

As for me, I’ve been sticking to my daily grind for a new job in the writing industry. As of yet, I still haven’t found my first foot-hold into it, just getting back more rejection letters, or no reply at all. No, I haven’t been applying for the higher-up stuff, like Lead Editor, or Editor-in-Chief, and stuff like that. I’ve been mostly going for internships and entry-level position in the city. I’ve even tried doing stuff that would be remote, but I think those have a higher rejection rate because I don’t have much experience under my belt. But nonetheless, I haven’t been letting all of that keep my mood down. I’m still pushing on forward and still doing me!

Alright, enough about my boring life. Time to get to the writing!

Recently, I’ve upgraded the website onto the next tier plan of WordPress, which gives me access to A LOT more layouts and customization on the website. So as a heads up, throughout the entire month of June, expect to see both minor and major changes. I want to spend a lot of time on the website redesign, making sure things are perfect and a lot more accessible for everybody to read and find what they’re looking for. If there are any suggestion or ideas that you feel like the website could use, feel free to email me your thoughts.

Next up, it’s story time.

As I was going through my current WIPs (Work in Progress) I’ve come to the decision that I want to try something different. Normally whenever I’m working on a story to be posted, I post the chapter or update as soon as it’s finished. However, that commonly leads to a large gap in time between updates, and I honestly makes me feel like a bad person. I hate leaving you guys with such large time gaps between updates. So, I’m going to experiment on writing the entire story first, and then post the chapters. As to whether it will be a weekly update or bi-weekly, I am not sure yet. During those update times, I would be working on the next story, so I have to decide on that in the near future.

As for the current stories out, I’ve decided that I’m going to remove Don’t You Remember from my priorities list. It’s been so long since I’ve updated it, and I realized that the story was going to be longer than I originally intended, so I’m placing it on the back burner. I will eventually update it, but to will be quite some time. Plus I want to work on some new stuff, and having too many projects open will be too stressful. As for Home Improvement, I have the next chapter ready to go, and I’m almost done writing the entire thing. Alex & Sam is still being worked on and trying to figure out what changes I want to make to it. I think that covers everything… Let me know if I forgot something.

Now, onto some bonus stuff. There is none. That is all.

Sorry that this note is a bit longer than usual. I know I have a habit of rambling on and on, so I’m trying to work on that.

That’s all for this Monthly Note. If you’re curious about anything else, don’t be afraid to shoot me an email or tweet me. (Sorry if this seems rushed. Had to type this all up again after I had a computer crash.)
