Most people are stuck at a dead-end job that they want little to do with during their working hours. They just clock-in, do what they need to do for the day, and clock-out when it’s time. They don’t really care about anything else.
But no matter where you go, there’s always that one coworker that complains just to complain. There’s nothing they can do about the matter, and yet they continue to complain.
And that can easily get under a person’s skin…
I have about fifteen seconds before somebody decides to come down and check out what happened. I need to stall for time…
Right as I began to make a plan, heavy footsteps slowly made their way down the steps outside the room. I turned heel and sprinted to the entrance of the storeroom, peeking my head out.
“Sup?” I playfully questioned whoever was coming down.
It was my boss. He stopped when he saw me poke my head out, “Everything okay down there?”
“Yeah, it’s all good,” I answered, pointing into the store room, “just moving some wooden boxes around.”
