Ryuko takes a moment to think and then shrugs, “Probably. I just don’t know what’s in store.”
Hearing that, Satsuki moves down the bench, moving a bit closer to Ryuko. She gently places her hand on top of Ryuko’s.
After feeling Satsuki’s hand on hers, Ryuko can feel some kind of change in the air around her; there’s some kind of pressure being exerted on her body, but it’s warm to the touch and soothing to her. Her heartbeat picks up and her face starts blushing.
W-What the hell is going on? What’s this pressure?
Ryuko looks towards Satsuki and is stunned by what she sees; Satsuki’s face is flushed red and she can’t make eye contact with her. For some reason, Ryuko can feel her own face heating up and she does the same.
Why can’t I look at her in the eye now?!
“Ryuko…”
“Y-Yeah?”
“I want us to get to know each other better.”
For some reason, Ryuko starts speaking as if her emotions are taking control of her body and mind, “I’d like that too.”
“Let’s start spending more time together, okay?”
“… Yeah.”
Satsuki moves her hand away and slowly gets up from her seat. Still blushing, she takes a quick glance at Ryuko before walk back to the school building, “I’ll inform your teacher as to why you’re late.”
Ryuko doesn’t reply; she watches Satsuki walk off for a moment. Left alone, she brings herself composure back and leans forward, putting her face in her hands, “What the hell just happened, and why the hell is my heart pounding?”
