Mock Script – Family Guy: Peter’s Kung Fu Adventure

Yes, you read the title right. This is exactly what it seems, and I had a blast doing it.

About two weeks ago I finished wrapping up a small side project I was working on to help get my creative juices flowing. I was talking to a friend of mine over on Discord, and he sent me a sketch of the latest thing he was doing at the time. It was mostly circles and round edges where a body should be, so joked and said that it looked like a pregnant woman doing karate. He laughed and said that my guess wasn’t too far off, that it was actually suppose to be Peter Griffin from “Family Guy” practicing karate on a little kid. During the chat, I typed up a quick fake conversation between Peter and Lois, where Lois confronted him about kicking a child. When I finished typing it in the chat, I told my friend that I may end up writing a full joke script just for the hell of it. He said that he’d totally read it if I did.

And I took him up on the challenge.

So a couple days later, with a few cans of red bull and shots of rum, couple hours of getting side-tracked, and actually looking stuff up to make it as “accurate” as possible, I managed to get out an eighteen-page mock script of a “Family Guy” episode. I did some script-writing back a couple years ago, so I’m sure the actually formatting and use of directions are off, but I did it for the hell of it.

When I showed it to my friend, he said he couldn’t stop laughing and that the dialogue and actions between the characters felt like he was reading leaked script. Hopefully if you guys actually sit through the whole thing and read it, I hope you will feel the same way. And this whole mock script thing won’t become a major thing I’ll be writing. I may post new original stories in a script format, but don’t expect to see a lot of mock scripts from other well-known series. If I feel like doing one, I may. But I am always on the lookout for any requests and questions about doing more down the road, so feel free to let me know your thoughts in the idea.

Yes.” Continue reading Tenchu: Shadows of Azuma

Senran Kagura: Romance of a Ninja (Part One)

A lone high school student is the last remaining of his kind. After a certain event years ago, he was destined to live up to a certain requirement. With an upcoming event, his decisions will have to come rushed and decisive.

“This may not be a simple decision, but it will be one that affects not only you, but somebody else. You understand?”

“Yes.”

Tenchu: Shadows of Azuma – 8. Kunoichi by the Docks

In dire situations that require a slight chance of normality, one must often call for the help of others to bring back that usual lifestyle. In the case of ninjas, trust is a rare thing, sometimes ending in betrayal and one losing their life. However, if there is a past between allies, it would be natural for them to help one another.

“Do you know what kind of weapons are being transported?”

“I’m not too sure, but all I know is there’s a lot coming in. Just about enough to arm an entire army three times over.”

Tenchu: Shadows of Azuma – 7. Declaration of War

A group of ninja are closing in on Gohda territory. However, they are not alone. They are being lead by an assassin that only has two things set on her mind: fear and war. As Ayame tries to take a moment to relax along side Gohda’s daughter, Kiku, she ends up having to square off with that assassin after seeing an invasion unfold.

Dark clouds and an even darker assassin are a sign of something dangerous approaching.

“So, you’re the one who killed all of them?”

“Caught red handed.”

Tenchu: Shadows of Azuma – 6. Battle in the Checkpoint

Passing through checkpoints are often used to help travelers reach their destinations faster, acting as shortcuts through dense forest areas. Should a checkpoint ever be under control of a specific entity, it would make traveling through much more dangerous. Rikimaru keeps this in mind as he heads towards his informant.

“I’m going to wage my war now.”

“All of Gohda’s forces are weak. Including the Azuma!”

Tenchu: Shadows of Azuma – 5. Akechi in the Limestone Caverns

Lord Gohda calls for a quick briefing with Rikimaru and Ayame. As they discuss the findings from Ayame’s last assignment, a familiar name comes to mind for Lord Gohda, indicating that this is a much more serious matter now. He gives Rikimaru a special assignment, hoping this will give them the upper hand for the time being.

“Move or die. Your choice.”

“I’ll move this spear, and you’re gonna die.”

Senran Kagura: Ninja Mishaps – Milk & Mixtures

The structure of the cave hideout is letting a cool breeze flow through it, filling every section and room with a relaxing air. The coolest area being the main gathering area where most of the furniture and belongings are, such as the flat screen television and public computer area along one wall, and assorted cabinets and shelves along the opposite wall. The hideout is quiet, so the air is making a gentle whistling sound. It’s mostly empty, except for one person.

Wearing her usual uniform, a yellow sweater with a black camisole underneath and a bright pink tight skirt with a matching ribbon in her hair and a purple belt and dark leggins, Homura’s Crimson Squad member Haruka sits at her desk; the desk is covered in test tubes and beakers of different shapes and sizes, most of them with liquids of various colors. Legs crossed and stuck in a long ponder, Haruka meticulously looks at all of her different mixtures and concoctions, trying to sort out the newest from the oldest. She gently takes out one tube from its holder and shakes it a bit.

“This one is for increasing body mass. Homura wanted to try and get a bit stronger, but it didn’t exactly work out that way.”

She puts the tube back down and pick up another tube to examine.

“You’re the one that puts people to sleep and forces them to have nightmares.”

As she’s holding it, a nostalgic feeling washes over her Haruka’s body, making her let out a relaxed and joyful laugh.

“Watching Yomi’s face while she slept was just amazing!”

With a small smile on her face, she places the tube back in its holder and rolls back in her seat, overlooking the entire desk. Months of experiments and testing has resulted in a large amount of different substances that all serve a purpose in one way or another, whether it’s something minor as curing an ailment, to complex situations like a sudden urge to make somebody dance.

Haruka crosses her arms and turns around to walk away, but comes to a stop, making her heeled shoes clack against the paved ground; an echo rings through the hideout. She stands still for a moment before turning back around to face the desk. Her eyes lock on to a specific beaker at the edge of the desk. She walks over to it and gently picks it up by the rim, slowly stirring it around.

The beaker is barely empty, having just enough of a dark blue liquid to fill a small drinking glass. As Haruka’s holding it, she tilts her head and squints her eyes, trying to remember exactly what’s inside the beaker.

“What are you? I know every single thing on this desk like the back of my hand, but I don’t have the slightest idea of what you are.”

Haruka holds the beaker above her head into the light, so she can look at it from the bottom; the liquid isn’t that thick, so she can easily see through it.
