Gluttony, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Some acknowledge it as the deadly sin of them all. Other think of it as one of the easiest to overcome and endure. It all depends on just how far the sin as taken over the person’s entire being, the body, soul, and mind. As for The King, his gluttonous ways drove him to become who he his now.
Day after day, every waking hour, he was at the dining table, gorging himself with food. He paid no mind to the welfare and needs of the townsfolk outside. The Queen took over to the best of her ability while he ate, but she could only do so much. His personal servants cowered in fear, forced to bring more food to him or fear the threat of public execution.
Matilda saw The King’s rapid growth, and knew this wasn’t going to end well.
The women watched as The King continued to gorge himself with food. He picked up a hefty piece of meat and bit more than half off.
“He’s eaten it already, Lady Pariah,” Matilda blurted out.
“Now, it’s all about waiting,” Lady Pariah replied, chuckling a bit.
Matilda still couldn’t believe what she had done. She looked at The Queen to see her reaction, and shivered with fear when she saw a sinister smile.
As The King took yet another bite into a piece of meat, he suddenly froze, the meat looking like a muzzle, before collapsing face-first into his food.
