100 Word Story – Mirrored Walls (Part One)

Everything was spinning around me, nothing wanted to stay still. My head throbbed with a fiery intensity, and my body was stiff as cement. A faint bright light was trying to break through my eye lids, bringing me out of my dreams.

However, it seemed like I awoke from a dream and entered a nightmare. Through a sliver of sight, I caught a glimpse of where I was. Mirrors all around me, all of them with the same image.

Me. On every mirror. Trapped.

Christ, my body doesn’t want to move, I thought.

It was as if a bag of rocks was tied around each of my limbs, forcing me down to the bed. No matter how much I tried to sit myself up my body would just crash back down after a few seconds of trying. Every muscle ached from head to toe.

Through a sleepy haze, I tried to ignore the heaviness of my body and tried to wake up. When I opened my eyes, I quickly forced them shut; the smallest sliver of light blinded me.

What’s wrong with my body…?
