The Fourth Wall

The Fourth Wall

Howdy, y’all. I hope you’ve had a nice and relaxing weekend. It’s been a scorcher all week all over. I’ve been stuck in the blazing heat working (I went back to my old job, woohoo) and I’ve been coming home just drenched in sweat. And let me tell you, I hate the heat. But enough about my boring week.

So today, I come to you with a little… experiment. Remember a couple months back when I talked about the new laptop I bought and the new things I could do with it? If you don’t check out – “So I Did A Thing… And I May Keep It.”

Now, for this who do remember: I can say this is my first REAL test run about something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time. So I started up The Sims 4 today, and I was looking at my characters running around and doing their normal day things. And I started to think, “What can I do with this?” I kept playing for a little while, watching them do their thing, when I got a brief burst of inspiration going. Fast forward a couple hours, a couple dozen screenshots and a handful of GIMP tutorial videos later, and BOOM, here we are. I am ashamed to admit, but just doing this story alone took me about 3 hours (yes, I know, that’s a long time. I’m new to this kind of thing.)

So what I have today is a bit of a quick joke story that combines my usual narrative style and using edited screenshots of Sims 4 to fill in some visuals. This is my first time ever doing something like this, so if things look extremely novice, I apologize. But doing it was actually a lot of fun. And considering how you guys receive the format, I may continue to do something like this a lot more in the near future. So please, if you continue on and read the story, do not be afraid to leave some feedback in the comments, email me, or contact me on Twitter.

So, without further ado, enjoy!
