100 Word Story – Stupid Question (Part Three)

There’s that common saying of “There’s no such thing as a stupid question.” While, at first, it takes some time to understand. Inside the classroom, asking questions is the best way to gain knowledge. At work, asking questions is the best way to understand how to perform your duties. At home, asking questions is the best way to make sure the family is doing fine.

But when it’s your best friend asking a question, they can honestly ask some really stupid questions.

My mind raced back and forth, doing a mental lap, thinking about Sasha’s question. No answer came to mind, so I shrugged.

Sasha went on a five-minute rant about the reasoning behind her decision of wanting to be a toaster. In this situation the average person would have listened to her reasoning and thought that she wasn’t right in the head. But unfortunately for me, being her best friend, I knew that wasn’t true.

Sasha’s just a massive idiot.

“—and at the end of the day, we all dream about being something we either want to be or our minds just go on random tangents.”

I actually listened to everything. And strange enough, I finally had an answer.

“Why a toaster?!”
