“Even if it means killing those who were once allies?”
“Yes… You said you’re here for some information regarding them, right?”
“Yes. I’m looking for where their main base is located.”
The woman shakes her head, “Sorry to be a bummer, but I can’t tell you that. Not because I don’t want to, but because I don’t know where it is. I was never taken to the main base.”
Tesshu looks at the woman and crosses his arms. The woman looks back at him with a stern look. Accepting her answer, Tesshu lets out a sigh and shakes his head, “A dead end.”
“Not exactly. I may have never been to the main base, but I can give you the location of the base where I was trained and where my superior officers were held up. I’m sure they’ll know where the main base it.”
Feeling like she can trust Tesshu, the woman reaches into the top of her kimono and puts her hand between her breasts, taking out a piece of paper. She folds it up and puts it in Tesshu’s hand; he looks at it, then back at the woman.
“It’s the exact location of the base and a detailed layout of the inside. Hopefully, you’ll find something worth wild in there.”
“Thank you.”
The woman nods and turns around. Before she has a chance to leave the house, Tesshu calls out to her, “Wait.”
“What?”
“Where do you plan on going?”
The woman shrugs and has a tired smile on her face, “I’m not sure. But wherever the boat goes, I’ll try to start a new life there. I’m done being a kunoichi.”
Done with her words, the woman quickly rushes out of the house. Tesshu looks at the doorway for little bit, then looks back at the paper in his hand.
