The boys toughed through the snowy field, boarding all over and leaving their trails in the powdery scenery. With the skies clear and the winds still, they felt the thrill and rush of snowboarding across the arctic shelf.
However, they wanted an even bigger thrill, something that would surely put their names down in history as some of the biggest daredevils to have ever lived.
When they reached the bottom of the latest mountain they’ve conquered, they found a giant crack in the ground.
Rafael made sure the straps of his snowboard were as tight as possible around his boots. He pulled down his oversized goggles and got into position.
With his hands at the ready, Donny let out a sigh and shook his head, “Last chance, Ralf. You can turn back now.”
Adrenaline overtook Rafael’s body and mind, his heart racing and his body heating up faster than a space heater, “Nah, man, I’m doing it! I’m going across that gap!”
Unable to convince his friend out of the stupid stunt, Donny shrugged and pushed Rafael to give him some starting speed, “Whatever.”
