100 Word Story – Babysitting (Part Five)

Don’t we all just love children? Aren’t they just the greatest bundle of joy, bringing happiness everywhere they go with their laughter and bubbly attitudes? Geez, aren’t they just… some of the most annoying things on the planet?

All they do is make loud noise, screaming at the top of their lungs for no apparent reason, running around the house in a mad dash chasing something that they made up? I mean, who the hell can have so much fun running after something that doesn’t exist?

They only thing that makes babysitting a kid doable is giving me enough cash to put up with it, and even then it needs to be a nice amount.

Kids suck.


Gina watched from the doorway as Johnny kept going on about his business, unaware that he was about to be caught red-handed.

In the middle of the room was a large swiveling desk chair. Johnny was behind it, his hands moving around it as if he was reaching for a some kind of levers. He kept making weird noises with his mouth. After a few seconds, he made another explosion sound and jumped back from the chair as if it really happened.

“Oh no, I messed up the generator again…” Johnny sighed.

“… What the hell are you doing, Johnny?”
