100 Word Story – Babysitting (Part Six)

Don’t we all just love children? Aren’t they just the greatest bundle of joy, bringing happiness everywhere they go with their laughter and bubbly attitudes? Geez, aren’t they just… some of the most annoying things on the planet?

All they do is make loud noise, screaming at the top of their lungs for no apparent reason, running around the house in a mad dash chasing something that they made up? I mean, who the hell can have so much fun running after something that doesn’t exist?

They only thing that makes babysitting a kid doable is giving me enough cash to put up with it, and even then it needs to be a nice amount.

Kids suck.

Gina couldn’t wrap her head around what Johnny was doing. The weird sounds he was making, the strange things he was doing to the chair, she just didn’t get it. And she honestly didn’t want to. She shook the thoughts from her head and went into the bathroom, tossing a small rubber duck to Johnny as he bathed.

Excited, Johnny caught the duck in his hands and held it up, “Yes! I found a toolbox!”

Gina was worried about Johnny. Not because of how excited he was, but because she had no idea what the hell he was talking about.
