Spooktober – 50ccs of Red

Hello, everybody! I’m so sorry this one’s a few days late. But don’t worry, I didn’t forget my promise to have at least one new horror related story every week. To make up for some lost time, this one’s a bit longer than usual. Taking place in your usual hospital, a patient’s currently being seen to a doctor. Having some bodily issues recently, he’s hoping the doctor is able to provide some kind of solution for him. too bad for him, he doesn’t realize that the doctor is more than just a pretty face. Here’s “50ccs of Red!”

The hospital is a place where the sick and ill come in order to help ease their pain and find solutions for their problems. Some come for minor issues, while some are life-threatening and need full attention from specialists in certain medical fields. Patient’s are suppose to feel like they can trust their doctor to help them get better. Not feel like they’re being used for something else.

In this one hospital, many of the doctors don’t exactly seem like they’re helping others because they care about the well-being of people. Instead, it’s more like there’s an underlining motive for helping patients. However, the doctors are too smart to talk about that in front of the general public.

With a warm smile and blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, the young man calls out to the doctor, “Hey, Becky. Got a long night, huh?”

“I promised to help look over a few others for Enrique until he comes in around six.”

“So, he willing to swap blood just to have some pretty girl to look at? That doesn’t sound like a good trade to me.”

Spooktober – Hand of Darkness (Part One)

Happy Spooktober! It’s that time of the year where Halloween is just a few days away! To celebrate this ghastly month, I’ve decided to post a new horror-themed story every were. And now, here’s the first one – “Hand of Darkness – Part One.” Enjoy!

Chain and bondage have always been used as the simple and effective way of torture. It forces the victim to be bound to one place, often bound by multiple parts of their bodies. Unable to move or protect themselves, the victim is forced to endure and live through whatever events they have to witness. Sometimes the victim themselves are enduring the pain. Other times, they could be forced to watch somebody else suffer. Regardless of the method, the cold, metal restraints will be a long-lasting sensation on their skin.

Should they be able to survive the ordeal and escape.

“Please, somebody help me!”

The woman in the shadows let out a small sigh, feeling a mixture of annoyance and disappointment, “Really? What good would calling out for help do for you?”

For just a brief moment, the chained woman manages to lift her head up to see who walked into the alley. Seeing a bright light appearing in front of her, the woman notices the approaching police officer, in his dark blue uniform and badge proudly on display on his uniform shirt. When he shines his light towards the back of the alley, he breaks into a panic and runs down the alleyway.

Spooktober Has Arrived!

It’s that time of the year where everything gets darker, ghouls and goblins begin to roam the planet, and ghosts come back to give us a fright. That’s right, everyone, it’s October! Many of us are also excited for Inktober, where people draw something new every day for the month. To be honest, if I could draw, I’d join in on the fun, but I can’t do anything better than stick figures and curvy lines. However, I figured I’d do something related to it.

Instead of drawing something every day, I’ll be posting a spooky or scary story every week for the entire month! Although I’m not the best when it comes to scaring people with words, I’ll try my best to at least freak people out when they read about people getting their guts ripped to shreds by an unknown demon in the shadows, a floating skull with the power to take over the bodies of the living, or simply a goblin who steals your limbs while you’re asleep.

Regardless, I look forward to this year’s Spooktober! I’ll try my best! If you have a request for something scary you’d want to see written, feel free to drop me an email, which you’ll find at the Contact Luka page. Or if you’re more social, feel free to shoot me a Tweet on Twitter.

Happy Spooktober, everybody!

Pay with Your Blood

Mythology and creatures tend to be told through storybooks and texts that claim to have proof and documentation of their existence. Multiple accounts claim they’ve witnessed a creature, but they all have different descriptions of it. Simply reading a text isn’t enough to prove their existence.

For one man, actually having the creature physically in front of them was all the proof he needed. However, seeing such a fragile creature made him too ambitious, wanting to claim the creature.

This mistake would lead to his demise.

Even with a bloody instrument used to cut through flesh and skin aimed at her the woman didn’t flinch; she continued to stay silent and unmoved.

“I just had to be threatening to you. Looks like you’ll be easier to control than I thought. Let’s see just how obedient you’ll be.”

Burned Down to the Ground

Another crime to try and find an answer to, this one involving a house being burnt to the ground. The first assumption is that it was due to natural causes. However, if we left it at that, things could become worse if it turns out this was done intentionally.

That’s where I come in. I’m assigned to the most mysterious of crimes and incidents, trying to figure out what caused it, who did it, and why. Along side with my partner, I plunge head first into a crime scene to figure out the true motives.

But nothing could have prepared me for what we were about to find…

I sure as hell didn’t want to think about it either. But we had a job to do, so we didn’t have a choice to stop there.

“Rich, back up.”

“Why?”

One Way Out

I just want to get out of here. I’ve seen enough gore and grotesque scenes to last multiple lifetimes. How a virus can cause such devastation still boggles my mind.

And now I could be the next victim of the same virus. Locked in a room with Jack, a corpse, and a growing viral bomb, I don’t want to imagine what it would be like having to suffer like this.

But at the same time, dying would be the easy way out. And I don’t want to die.

Legends of the Dark: Arctic Mansion (Part Two)

After being attacked by a strange, blue stained corpse, Suzume is finally starting to make some ground around the mansion. With a key in hand, she can now explore an old room that she passed before.

However, when she enters that room, it only leads her into more danger, much much more danger than before. With a strange shadow walking through and an unknown voice singing, will she be able to save herself and her sister?

Shortly after, she could see a slender shadow walking through the mist. She couldn’t make out any fine details, just that the shadow was approaching the house with every step.

“Hikaru… What happened to you? You look so… lifeless.”

Woman in the Mirror (Part 3)

I’ve lost track of exactly how many people have suffered from my experiments. A handful, a dozen, a few dozen most likely? All I know is until I get the results I want, that number will continue to climb.

It’s been a few days since I’ve checked up on the condition of my current subject; perhaps he has some new findings for me that I’ve been wanting for some time.

“Ms. Tanamura,” Yuuka calls out, “the current subject is about to wake up. His vital signs are beginning to change.”

“Unlock the doors so he can proceed,” I answer.

Woman in the Mirror (Part 2)

Honestly, I never imagined that I would have so easily accepted myself like that. Being together feels so much different than being apart. It feel… right.

Now, I don’t have any fears or regrets for what I’m about to commit. Instead, I feel unnaturally excited.

“Where are we going?”

“Let’s see how my little scapegoat is doing today, shall we?”

Despair Awakening

The single row of flickering light bulbs hang from thin electrical wire barely lighting up the cramped, but long hallway; the girl can only see a few feet in front of her before having to submit to the darkness. However, she’s able to see the next approaching light bulb in the distance. Her breathing heavy, giving way to a weak cough every once in a while, she uses all of effort she can to make her way through this hallway. She has to lean up against the wall in order to keep herself upright to walk, even if it seems like a turtle’s pace. When she reaches the next flickering light, she stops for a moment to examine her current condition.

Her thin, solid color black hoodie is torn in multiple places; her entire left sleeve is ripped all the way off from her shoulder, so she can’t hide the numerous cuts and scrapes that line her arm. Her light blue faded jeans are slashed all over as if somebody or something attacked her with a razor of some sorts. Her neck length brunette hair is tossed around with a single bang hanging over her right eye; there’s blood trickling down from her head and traveling down her face.

The girl lets out a violent cough, forcing her to wince and grab at her chest. She gasps for air afterwards. She wipes the corner of her mouth before she beings to speak her thoughts.

“I’m almost there… Just a little bit further and I’ll be out…”

After hearing those lines being spoken, the girl takes a moment to reflect on the events from before. She thinks about that bloodied woman she saw getting dragged away by that… abomination. It looked like something that crawled out of a lab that performs genetic mutations on humans. Just thinking about it causes the girl to gag a bit, but she manages to hold it down.

She reaches into her back jeans pocket and pulls out a small, rusty key. It has an irregular shape, which would make anybody easily assume that it was something else besides a key. She was given that key from a man who had a strange look in his eyes, as if he was being possessed by something. His words spoke of an exit that would bring an end to the girl’s living nightmare, a way out of this strange place. However, his words didn’t have much weight at the time; he was caught red handed killing another man and gouging his eyes out. Perhaps this key leads to a trap awaiting her?

She didn’t really have much of a choice. If she turned around and went back to the room that lead to this hallway, she would surely be killed by that creature that was guarding the door; some strange, werewolf monster with the roar of a demon.

Even so far down the hallway, the girl can still hear the faint roars of the monster behind her in the distance, “It’s either I go back and get torn limb from limb, or I just take a random man’s words and get to the door.”

With her mind made up and too much distance traveled, the girl put the key back in her pocket and continues her way down the dim hallway, hoping there’s something positive awaiting her at the door. It seems like she has been walking for an eternity, but it’s all finally coming to an end; after walking for a few more minutes, she sees a large, rusted metal door at the end of the hallway. It easily shows wear and tear, like it’s been neglected for some time.
